ICD-10 New Query Trends?
Good Morning!
Now that we are a week into ICD-10 I was wondering what new query opportunities/trends you all have identified?
I know that ICD-10 offers lots of opportunities to query for greater specificity such as laterality, etc.
I am curious as to if anyone has started requesting this specificity.
What other things are you now querying for that you were not in ICD-9?
Have you noticed any specific diagnoses that are now a cc/mcc or that affect the DRG?
I know there are so many things we could query for!
It is a balancing act to be sure to query the important things and not overload providers with too many queries!
I look forward to hearing back from you all.
