AKI in Pediatrics
We are looking at guidelines for defining Acute Kidney Injury/Failure. Does anyone know if the criteria for adult AKI is appropriate for pediatric patients? Essentially the criterion of a 100% or greater increase (2x) in the baseline serum creatinine. Obviously there are other clinical indicators of kidney insufficiency, but do you use the serum creatinine as the indication of "acute" failure?

Thank you for that reference. I read it quite carefully and it was very
helpful.
