What CDI technology platforms are hospitals using?

Wondering what CDI program other hospitals are using and if you like it?

We are currently using JATA but are starting to explore other options.

  • We use Claro / CDR 2 and we love it. They are based out of Chicago and have great follow up support and very defined reports. The nicety is, they can build into or take away from things we don't track or use on our worksheet. It is very user-friendly!

We had JATA and switched to 3M 360 this year. Like and dislike things
about both programs. We still have a hybrid medical record and that
hinders us with using 3M 360 to its full potential.

Have used, JATA, CDIS, and now 3M 360. I did not care for JATA, not robust enough. I love 3M 360. It has been great with ICD-10; for coding and for auditing. Have not used Claro, and I came from an HIM background, but  have worked with many RNs and have only heard great things about the Claro company.
For instance, very nice reports to Senior Leadership and that is completed by Claro so you can concentrate on your day-to-day task. From what I understand they are expensive but so is 3M.

It does not hurt to speak with all and compare what each has to offer and which one best fits your needs.

    Good luck!

    Good Morning,

I don't want to hijack the post, but I am curious, what did you feel was missing with JATA? We currently looking at products and since we are in the midst of upgrading the dragon medical one, we have asked to look at the JATA product and talk to some of their CDI references.

    Thanks,

    Deanna

  • We use EPIC for documentation and Nuance/JATA is partnering with us.   I will be learning the Nuance/JATA products and wonder how these worked with EPIC?   The reports seem to be very robust and pertinent.  Thank you.

  • 3M-360 has a SOI/ROM component which facilitates  efficiency when trying to improve  APR-DRG and  morality reviews which I found fantastic.  It will suggests diagnoses which will improve either the SOI,ROM or both.  The encoder  for a non-coder was user-friendly. Last but not least the worksheet was simple and easy to utilize.

    Cheers.....
