Utilizing CDI's for pathology results

I have a physician that has requested that if he is in agreement with pathology results and the query has been signed, if the patient has been discharged home, is it possible for the CDI to go in and add this to the medical record. Are there any other CDI's out there that are doing this?

    No~ it's physician's responsibility to update the record

    Is your query a part of the permanent medical record? If it is, the query response adds it to the record. If it is not, the physician needs to make an addendum adding the path results.
