Diabetes Manifestations
I know we are all working toward getting physicians to make that link in their documentation - I have a fair amount of MD's who document DM with PVD (or PAD). Some will just document DM with circulatory manifestations. I review a lot of CABG patients and I'm wondering what is being done regarding any link of CAD to DM - we all know this patient population is at a higher risk -
Would you use the Endocrine DRG as the PDX if a generic link of circulatory is documented or would you ask for more specificity for the location of the circulatory manifestations?
