Cellultis secondary to Mid line IV site
I am wondering if there is any advice in coding Cellulitis secondary to a Mid Line IV site. The pt was getting IV antibiotics at the nursing home, developed cellulitis, had the IV removed the day before admission, admitted for worsening cellulitis. I'm not sure if it would be considered a catheter related infection? If so, what I keep getting in my encoder is T827XXA which seems like more of a vascular cath infection. Thanks in advance.
