EMR Conversion with 3M 360
I posted this in the general section as well but wanted to put it in the management section also. We are struggling to get a clear answer from 3M on how the conversion from our current environment to our future environment will impact CDI. I am concerned about pending queries at the time of conversion and our codes and information stored. Basically I've been told "it's accessible" but what does that really mean?
We are moving from a hybrid environment (paper and Soarian) with 3M 360 to a fully electronic environment (Cerner) with 3M 360. I was wondering if anyone else had been through the conversion and how do you handle having patient's in one 360 (your old environment) and patients in another 360 (the new environment). I was told by 3M that we will have access to the old 360 for 60 days, but what do you do about long stays, etc.. I really haven't gotten a firm answer from them and was wondering if anyone else had lived through a transition and had 360.
