HTN and CAD

How is your facility capturing CAD and HTN. The path I use is CAD, native vessel, with HTN, no angina and I am getting CAD + the combination code of HTN heart disease without heart failure.

do you use the combination HTN + CAD or are you using the benign HTN + CAD?

if those are my only 2 diagnoses, after you do the CAD, native vessel, etc... then: with HTN, I would do other/unspecified which goes to I10
