Paraneoplastic Syndrome

Hi All
A co worker and I have encountered documentation of paraneoplastic syndrome in a patient who has been diagnosed with lymphoma. When you try to put it in the encoder it seems there is no code to capture it. Appreciate any suggestions on how to handle this diagnosis.

Consider G13.0 if it makes sense with your clinical scenario.  Paraneoplastic neuromyopathy and neuropathy, for example for unilateral hemiparesis etc.  This code instructs you to code first - the underlying neoplasm.
