Discharge Disposition Codes

I was recently told by a consultant that discharge code 07 (AMA or discontinued care) can be used when a patient refuses recommended SNF, acute rehab, or home care at discharge from the acute care hospital.  I can't find a reference to back this up. Does anyone have a reference on this? It does make sense to me that it would be considered discontinued care and would help the hospital to not be penalized for a readmission.
