CF-Eradication of Pseudomonas
All my pediatric (and adult) CF experts out there, I need your help.
20 month old admitted for Pseudomonas eradication after first time PSA finding on routine CF respiratory culture. Only symptom is mild cough. Progress notes are documenting Pseudomonas infection and admission for PSA eradication. Kiddo has no fever, no increased secretions, bronch normal except for some secretions. BAL + for multiple organisms including PSA.
How are others handling cases like this? I would like to clarify for site of infection, but am hard pressed for any indicators to localize site (ie no pneumonia on CXR, no fever, only symptom mild cough) and virtually every progress note by attending and specialists (pulm and ID) are documenting admitted for Pseudomonas eradication.
Thanks so much in advance...I appreciate any and all feedback!!
