Hi,

Does anyone have a tool they can share for audit of CDI review for quality assurance? Something with timeliness of review, appropriate Pdx and Sdx assignment, missing Sdx, cc/mcc....

    Hi all,

    We are currently refining and perfecting our brand new Quality Improvement CDI Team and are auditing for PDx, Sdx, CC/MCC, SOI/ROM, HAC, POA and query format appropriateness.  We are a team of 4 auditors and a supervisor, auditing 10 charts per CDI per month and doing 1-on-1 education with the CDI on a bi-monthly basis.  We have 25 front line CDI's that we are auditing and many (at least 1/3) of the CDI have less than 2 years of experience. 

    I am looking for any guidance for industry standards of how many charts per month to audit.
