CDIs as independent contractors

Has anyone considered working as your own independent Nurse CDI contractor.  So, the agencies would be bypassed.  You would market yourself on a contractual basis. Are there templates or any kind of guidance to do this?

    I have thought of this also - I think this would follow any personal business plan with required reporting of expenses and taxes; in addition to licensure requirements mandated by various states.
