Reporting structure for CDI programs
What CDI reporting structure is best for an organization with multiple facilities wishing to have one enterprise level leader? Would it be best for an Enterprise leader over Revenue Cycle, HIM, Clinical Leader, etc?
With multiple facilities, we decided an independent department was necessary for CDI. I believe that where that is housed depends on the focus of your program. We have 5 facilities, soon to be 6, and we are an independent department. I report to the AVP of Quality/Safety, and she reports to the CMO.
