We review our worksheets when the patient is discharge to compare CDI final DRG with coding. We decided early on that since we are not coders and do not have the software that would give us all the coding clinics, that we would not track final DRGS. What we do is collaborate with our coders when there is a significant difference in final coding. That can be a educational experience or sometimes lead to a change in the final coding, based to the concurrent reviews by the CDI's.
