Stuttering or incomplete stroke

Pt presented with aphasia, which persists along with subtle right facial droop.  Both CT head and MRI negative, CTA revealed severe stenosis in Rt M1 and mild stenosis Lt M2.  No tPA as exact onset of symptoms unclear.  Asa and Plavix load.  Neuro documentation:  stuttering stroke, incomplete stroke, I suspect during the last 24 hrs some sort of atherosclerotic plaque rupture may have causes these symptoms.  I have not seen this phrasing/terminology before and striking out with reference searches.  Does this code to acute CVA?  Does it require clarification?  Thank you!
