Coma scale MCCs
Does anyone know why the usual MCCs of R402213 coma scale no verbal response and R402343 coma scale flexion withdrawal are not MCCs in a diabetic DRG such as 639/638? May also be same reason secondary diagnosis G92 Toxic encephalopathy is not an MCC for diabetic DRG 639/638? I just don't know the reason. I am going to submit the question to 3M Nosology but thought I would ask here as well. Thanks

If you look at the supplementary tables for IPPS FY2019 you can see the MCC exclusions. They are found in table 6K.
