CDI Schedules

We are having difficulty recruiting because of the Monday- Friday schedule. (Many applicants come from a 3 day/12 hour schedule). Does anyone have a successful way of scheduling CDI using a flexible schedule or longer shifts 3-4 days/week? If so, how do you follow up on their queries on their off days? TIA

  • Hi, we have recently begun trialing a new process for priority cases and queries for our part time CDI. If the PT CDI is going to be off for 2 consecutive days or greater, they send the team leader an email at the end of their work day with reason for priority follow up. The team leader then assigns to another CDI. When the PT CDI returns to work, the case reverts back to them. This is only for priority cases/queries, not all. We are just trialing it, but we recognized we needed to follow up certain cases and queries. Our PT CDI are 24/week.
