EMR
I am questioning POA documentation for pressure ulcers within the EMR. We are being told by our vender that nursing needs to document POA within their assessment. I have concerns for this as this is a coding term and I believe that nursing will not grasp the definitions for POA. I wouldn't be concerned if we had a dedicated wound care team that I could educate, but we don't. Any thoughts?
