ORIF vs CRIF

Just curious, have any of you educated your surgeons on the
documentation needed for coders to code an ORIF versus a CRIF? Do you
have any good articles or education material on this?

We really haven't had any problems coding CRIF - although our Orthos
frequently call it an ORIF. We just read through the body of the Op Report
to identify what procedure they "actually" performed.
