CDI in Transition Care Unit/Swingbed Unit

Have any of you done CDI in a skilled care unit?  In talking with our skilled unit coordinator recently, she mentioned that this fall their payment system will shift from RUG categories to a point system with reimbursement dependent on how many points they are able to capture.  Her description of it seems like CDI would be a beneficial addition.  Would one do queries using the same practices as in Acute care settings?  Any observations, voices of experience, thoughts, etc?
