Our CDI team recently presented year end numbers for 2019 to our physicians and one of our physicians asked how we compare to the national average in terms of the number of queries sent and queried diagnoses. For example, 20% of our queries sent in 2019 were for CHF.

I have never seen numbers like this anywhere. Does anyone know if these types of numbers are available and where I can find them?

    I don't know either, but I think this would be really great information for CDI teams to have.

    I don't know if they exist.  It will vary depending on the documentation practices of the providers and the education being provided so that queries are not necessary (because they are getting it on their own).
