CDI In outpatient Surgery

We have a large and active outpatient surgery facility and evaluating for possible CDI expansion to include this environment.  Is anyone active in a similar environment?  If so, what is your focus, wins, and opportunities? 

As a background, we are an inpatient only CDI program with the opportunity to utilize a CDI FTE for additional exploration that may provide a return on investment.  If outpatient surgery is not an area to explore, what other areas should we evaluate?

    We currently have a position in the outpatient surgery center and she focuses on status C cases and does some auditing of paperwork as well. If you aren't familiar with what status C is, look it up, lots of opportunity there to prevent some loss on cases. Not so much on making revenue, just preventing the loss.
