ICD 11
I have read that ICD 11 is around the corner for the U.S. The release date is scheduled for January 2022. ICD 11 appears to be quite expansive. My understanding is that it is all electronic and that it is particularly user friendly for the middle to low income countries who have less complex health and medical systems than countries like the U.S. What is the current take on ICD 11 in the U.S., and what steps do CDI practitioners need to take to be prepared for ICD 11?
