Verbal Queries

As I have been reading over the Compliant Query Guidelines again. I am wondering if anyone has a percentage of expected verbal queries? Or is there a percentage of the queries that should be verbal. I am inclined to have discussions with Providers and aske them for what I am looking for rather than place it all on a query. The Provider usually understands better what you ae asking and then the answer s placed in the progress notes. That being said, my Director feels that a high verbal query rate could be a compliance issue. As long as we are tracking our verbal queries in our software program and documenting what was said during the conversation, I feel verbal queries are often more appropriate and would not mind doing 100% verbal queries. Can anyone give me any feedback? Thank you!
