Coding PVD after an amputation

Hello,

I received a question about whether we should code peripheral vascular disease after a bilateral AKA. I think we should still code it. It is likely not "cured" by the amputation and there is a high probability that more atherosclerosis exists elsewhere. I'm just curious what the general consensus is. Thank you!
