Diabetes in remission

I am looking for any credible resources regarding diabetes in remission. There is a small box in the ACDIS pocket guide, but it uses the verbiage “proposed criteria”. Specifically, I am looking for what concrete clinical indicators that justifies that diagnosis and when “in remission” wouldn’t apply anymore.
