Active vs Hx of Prostate CA w/radiation seeds

I thought I had researched this & was pretty sure of the answer, but is prostate cancer with radiation seeds placed about 5 yrs ago coded as Hx of Prostate cancer or active Prostate cancer?

One of my team members explained if seeds have been present for over a year it should be coded as an history because they only emit radiation for about a year. Also, can you provide an authoritative reference to clarify?

I would say it is historical, however, you can always query the provider.
