Coding of preeclampsia and hypertensive emergency in pregnancy
When a patient has preeclampsia with severe features should hypertensive emergency also be queried for and coded? Since the ACOG definition of preeclampsia includes the same blood pressure cutoffs as hypertensive emergency, is it considered inherent to the definition of preeclampsia?
