standards of practice
Our facility is currently developing standards of practice for the Inpatient CDI and Coding teams. Historically, we haven’t had formalized processes for retrospective querying in CDI and Coding; instead, we’ve worked with coders on a case-by-case basis. However, we’re now aiming to transition to a concurrent program and tighten up our processes.
Specifically, we’re interested in role definitions and standards of practice for CDI and Coding. If anyone has relevant examples or insights that you could share, we would greatly appreciate it.
