Productivity
Good morning--
We have been trying to get buy in from Administration to increase our staffing--with a 12% increase in admits in last year. It always bogs down in the question of productivity. They want "Industry Standards" for Initial Reviews, Follow Up Reviews and Queries because they've "heard" that we should be doing more reviews than we currently do.
Any information about ranges that other facilities use would be helpful.
Thanks in advance!

-Commenting to add, as I am also interested in the same:
Historically, we counted all chart activity as review time, but now only if it meets certain criteria. This has decreased the appearance of productivity compared to the prior. In comparing to the standard, I would like to know: What counts as a completed review for the "standard"? What does your team consider?
We follow the recommendations from our consultant, Solventum, for many years.
80% coverage rate (which we have never met, we hover around 30-50%)
We ask each CDI to complete 10 initial and 10 concurrent daily to help meet the coverage rate
20-35% query rate
90% agree rate
94% response rate (our facility wanted higher than solventums %)
Our program goal is 80% coverage rate.
We set our productivity goals for our team at minimum, target and stretch. The productivity rate is an average for the month.
Our CDIS at minimum complete 9 initial case reviews, 12 concurrent reviews and 8 Retrospective reviews for a total of 29 per day minimum.
Minimum overall query rate would be 20%-24.99%.
Stretch for our CDIS would be greater than 11 initial review per day. Concurrent reviews greater than 14 per day per day Retrospective greater than 10 per day for a total of 35 reviews per day. Overall query rate for stretch would be greater than 33%.
Agree rate goal is set at 80% and the response rate goal is 90%
