At Columbus Regional Hospital, our coders do the same procedure as noted by Jolene. However, we do all queries, even the RQs. We have the working relationships with the MDs and can present the RQs and have those clinical conversations with them at a comfort level the coders don't have. It takes a team approach to make the program successful.
