I am currently finishing up a coding program at a local community
college. It was helpful in learning the process of coding. But CCs,
MCCs, and DRGs were not discussed in detail - which is more on par with
what I wanted to learn and that would have been beneficial.
I believe AHIMA offers on-line coding courses you can sign up for on
their website.
Also, you may want to look into purchasing Faye Brown's ICD-9-CM coding
handbook. I assume you already have an ICD-9-CM book.
