Coding for Cardiogenic Shock Long-Term LVAD

I am looking for ideas on coding for cardiogenic shock for patients who have long-term LVAD.

    There are several articles on the web referring to the use of a LVAD for cardiogenic shock. I would print off a few of the most recent ones and discuss this with your cardiologists to determine what their criteria is for reporting this diagnosis versus when the LVAD is in place for another ongoing conditions (severe heart failure (Class IV), cardiomyopathy, etc.)
