Now that AKI was downgraded from a MCC to a CC I’m struggling to
understand what clinical indicators to look for regarding etiology.
I know that AKI due to Acute Tubular Necrosis (ATN) is a MCC. Does
anyone know what other forms of AKI are considered MCCs?
What indicators do you look for when querying for AKI and the etiology?
For example what indicators indicate a patient may have ATN?
I know it’s not all about CCs and MCCs but getting a more complete
picture of the patient’s true medical conditions.
Any suggestions or query forms you would like to share would be
appreciated.
