Coding Clinic and ICD-10
At the present time there are no plans to convert (or crosswalk) the several existing years of Coding Clinic for ICD-9 CM to ICD-10 CM - in other words, what we are using now for coding/documentation advice will "disappear" come October 1, 2013. It will no longer be applicable or appropriate to reference when coding in ICD-10.
Coding Clinic for ICD-10 will start "fresh" in 2013 - which of course will pose lots of questions from coders and CDS who struggle with how to code or what documentation is needed.
