Did you know: The Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) credential exam must be taken in a secure testing center. But a paper/pencil exam is also given annually the Saturday following the ACDIS National Conference. The first paper and pencil exam took place in 2008 in Las Vegas, NV. More than 150 people sat for that exam. To date, more than 700 CDI specialists nationwide possess the CCDS certification.
