SOI/ROM Table

Can anyone direct me to a SOI/ROM table for either ICD-9 codes or DRG's? I've been looking through my available resources and can't find anything.

Thanks in advance

    Robert,

That is the million dollar question I am afraid -- every SOI/ROM risk adjusted model that I'm aware of is regarded as proprietary, and thus difficult to actually get hands-on. The ones I am thinking of include Health Grades, 3M's APR-DRG, University Healthsystems Consortium, etc.

Can't dig right now, but there was some research cited by the UHC model that just might be public (referenced in either one of a couple 100+ page documents or on-line). When I get a chance I'll try to run down that memory (if it wasn't the links below).

    This might be helpful:
    http://www.ahrq.gov/qual/mortality/
and a specific discussion of the UHC model --
    http://www.ahrq.gov/qual/mortality/Meurer.htm
Looking quickly, also see this where it seems there are also hints:

If anyone does find something that is public, I too would be very interested!

  • Thanks Don. I'm continuing to see what resources I have here as well. I appreciate the assist.
