We are having a discussion regarding what code to assign a "stricture of the anastamosis" for a pt who had a colectomy from a diverticular disease 2 years ago and was having constipation and obstructive symptoms. Procedure done was left colectomy and lap adhesiolysis. Path report showed fibrotic thickening of the wall and
resulting stricture with associated ischemic changes. Would you assign a complication code for PDx with the surg'l procedure in this case?
