As a refinement, you may want to ask if you can use what is termed by
some a 'dummy Encocder'. Our IT set me up with a 'dummy encoder'
loaded with our actual Base Rate, and this can be used to create key
components of the coding-bill-MSDRG. The system can auto-calculate
the net impact of any CDI efforts and provide you the final billed $$.
I use a Quantim product for this task.
