RE:Productivity)
Can anyone provide some insight into productivity? For instance - 'how
many accounts do staff review on average on a daily basis, including
initial and follow-up accounts?
To state another way - "how many discharges per year are reviewed per
CDS staff". (This is probably a better method to measure).
We have a multi-campus facility with very complicated cases and the
charts are paper-based, so we 'chase' charts sometimes.
The manuals I have read suggest 1,500 to 1,800 discharges can be
reviewed per CDS member, and I assume this would cover initial reviews,
follow-up, and tracking of outcome. I find reconciliation and
accurate tracking of outcome very time-consuming.
Any input appreciated.
