Abbreviation Lists
This may or may not be appropriate here, but this is a knowledgable group and it does deal with documentation. As we all know The Joint Commission says that only facility approved abbreviations can be used in documentation in the medical record. We currently have a 800+ page list that we use here and I have been tasked to see if there is another list out there that may be more concise and up to date and includes common terms like "CKD" for Chronic Kidney Disease.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
