ICD 10 CM PCS

I am a new member and AHIMA approved ICD 10 CM/PCS Trainer. I am involved currently in documetation reviews for ICD 10 CM/PCS(mostly PCS). I am preparing education on specificity and laterality. What type of training are most CDI looking for? I know there is a call for Tools and libary materials.

Do you want CDI facts for ICD 10 CM or introduction to ICD 10 CM/PCS coding/DRG?

  • I haven't tried yet. I need to figure all this out. This has fallen on the back-burner in the last couple months but I need to get on top of it.

I am interested in the further specificity the codes are going to require.
What are some of the diagnoses which will require further specificity and what is the specificity?
I've done an intro to the PCS side and need practice on simply building the procedure code.

    Congrats Lindsey!!
Have a question for you: how was it taking the exam at a testing site? My facility sends us to the conference and then we take the exam afterwards. One staff member said it was stressful knowing she was going to take the exam afterwards. Felt like she didn't really enjoy the conference as much because of this. I was thinking it would be nicer to take the exam first and then as a reward, the hospital would send you to the conference. Thought maybe staff would enjoy the conference more this way (plus then you would get to use the CEUs earned at the conference towards your renewal). Any thoughts??
