Out patient surgery CDI

My administration is interested in out patient CDI initial efforts beginning in the ER and Outpatient Surgery.  Any suggestions on where to start or what type of impact to look for in the outpatient surgery realm?

    Hi,

    I would recommend reading the ACDIS White Paper on Outpatient CDI if you haven't already, it has some great ideas for ED CDI. I am thinking about implementing an OP CDI program in surgery as well. I'm currently doing a gap analysis at our organization to see where the greatest benefit to our organization lies.
