Cardiomegaly

If you have a patient born with a congenital heart defect and has a secondary diagnosis of cardiomegaly, would you take that as being a sign and symptom of the congenital heart defect? Would you code this or not code the cardiomegaly as a secondary dx?

    chwcdi- I have been watching this hoping one of our pediatric experts would step in- but my first thought and it is a question is - would it depend upon the specific heart defect? is cardiomegaly ALWAYS present with a congenital heart defect? I am thinking no- so you could likely report it.
