Our CDI team is currently updating our verbal query process and workflow. We use the Solventum 360 application for electronic queries and utilize a variety of condition-specific query templates, as well as general and specificity query templates. While the content of these templates is largely the same, we currently maintain separate forms for written and verbal queries. Questions for the group: How does your CDI program identify and track verbal queries? Do you use separate forms for verbal and written queries? If you use a single form for both, how do you designate that the query was a verbal query? If you use a separate verbal query form, does it flow directly into the EMR, or do you have a different workflow for documenting and populating it within the medical record? We would appreciate hearing how other organizations manage this process, including any best practices, workflow considerations, and audit or compliance implications. Thank you in advance for sharing your experiences and insights. Pagette Callender
