Do you review and query general inpatient hospice charts? For instance a hosice patient was admitted in respiratory failure, AKI, Acute on chronic CHF, none of which were documented.
If they are truly GIP patients with an order for such (not just comfort care or palliative care without a GIP order), then no, we do not review or query as they are paid for by the hospice in the form of a daily rate.

Hospice is the only thing that doesn't the last time I checked. You are going to get hammered for your palliative/DNR/Comfort patients who die if nothing is documented on them.
