Hello All-

CHKD is opening a new pediatric Inpatient Psychiatric unit. Do any of you who practice in a Acute care hospital that has a separate Inpatient Psychiatric Facility review the Inpatient Psychiatric cases?

    historically inpatient psych has not been a focus for CDI reviews as it is very difficult to move the psych DRGs with additional comorbidity capture. the ROI was seen as not cost effective in CDI resources. I am not sure for SOI/ROM or quality impact. Interestingly, I am hearing more movement in this area. I am following this conversation.
