s/p whipple procedure on Creon

Hi there,

I was wondering if someone could help me out. If a pt had a whipple procedure and now takes Creon because the pancreas or lack there of does not make enough enzymes to digest their food called EPI(exocrine pancreatic insuffiency) a non-CC, however I remember a while back not sure where I heard it but if a pt was on creon that there was something we could query the provider for the was a CC does anyone have any idea what that might be? could it be pancreatic fat absorption disturbance? or maybe malabsorption D/T intolerance NEC? I just thought it was a more specific code. I would really appreciate any input.

thank you,

Erica
