Hi everyone,

What does everyone do when there is a pending query upon discharge left by CDI? Does it become the responsibility of coding or does the CDI follow post discharge?

Also, we use the 3M product, but with whatever CDI product you use, can the coder see what codes the CDI assigns post discharge?

    Lori these are great questions. in our education we encourage organizations to include such guidance in their policies and procedures related to query. the practice does vary between organizations, but responsibilities should be well defined.
